Nowadays, most of the companies own a website as a part of their marketing plans. On one side, this is a good venture as the company can reach more target audience but on another side, it could turn into a double-edged knife if you, as a business owner, doesn’t know how to use it wisely.

Put yourself in a customer/internet users’ shoes now, how often do you come across a website that has a different look from their printing marketing materials? For example, the business card and brochure has a soft pastel color with minimalist design but when you go to the website, you are greeted with a shocking vibrant color and funky design. Talk about inconsistency. It surely brings confusion and makes you think that they are two different company instead of one.

As a business owner, you don’t want to confuse and lose your potential customer, right? Hence, branding and consistency is very important here. You need to carry the same look and feel of your printing marketing materials (logo, brochure, flyer, envelope, letterhead, print ad, etc) and website. By doing so, customers will recoqnized the unique image of your company.

Most importantly don’t change your website design just because you want to follow the current trend in webdesign! Cross check first if the webdesign trend suits your business’ image and printing materials or not.
