SimplyWP contest update - week 1

At first, I thought of checking and counting all the entries after the 3 months Blogoversary Contest ends (Dec 5th). But I changed my mind and decided to count it from now on to save my time and my life. This turn up to be the best decision that I ever made.

NA = Not Available, which means participants didn’t do the optional tasks.

Yellow highlight area (important!) = Participants provided the info at the comment section of the contest page. However, I couldn’t find their username at the particular sites. So, please check again and make sure that you have dugg, Stumble Upon the contest and fave this blog on technorati. After doing so, please comment at the contest page and I will add your earning points.

One more thing, please confirm/verify your email subscription (important!) if you haven’t. Your entries will not be counted if you didn’t do it, as it is a required task.

Your Entrecard account has been warned

We could not hide our shock when we received an email with the above title (Your Entrecard account has been warned) last night. So, all this time we have read about account deleted from a few blogs and now it’s our turn? *Oh No!!!* You could hear the screaming voice from me and the boyfriend.

But, why? The reason was:

URL leads to static page. Must go to most current and regularly updated page of blog.

So that was the problem. I remember that I changed the url in Entrecard to the contest page yesterday afternoon. I thought it won’t cause any problem as I have done it several time before. But, oh well, I’ve changed it back to the homepage and replied them. It shouldn’t be a problem now.

Lesson for today:
Update yourself with the current rules from Entrecard and make sure you read it carefully.

Side note:
The 3 months Blogoversary Contest has run for 4 days and participants keep on coming in. I will post the update of current participants’ list on tomorrow morning. It will be a weekly update until the contest ends and I plan to have ’secret entries’ where participants can gain more entries from doing extra tasks.

It is the beginning of a new month again, which means it is time to reflect back. Instead of posting the stat from last month (only) like usual, we decided to post the stat from the pass 3 months so we could see the progression.

What’s up for November?
We are having a contest to celebrate the 3 months blogoversary! There is total 47,000 Entrecard Credits to be won, along with some cash prize (payment via Paypal) and lots of 125×125 ad spots for 10 lucky winners! Update on the contest
We are going to move the announcement date from 9th to 12th December or one week after the contest ends. Rose from Entrecard just informed me that they need 3 days to settle the random drawing after I send the entrants list to her. I myself need 2-3 days to count and double check the entries before send it to her. Thank you for the understanding.

Her reply:

If you submit the entrants to us on 12/8 I may not have time to turn around the winners on the 9th. Please give us three days to turn your winners around. It may be quicker than that, but there could be a lot going on and I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone. Also, after I pick them then another person has to transfer the credits, so we need to give him time to do this as well.

3 months Blogoversary Contest at SimplyWP

Before contest starts

It is one day before the contest and we still receive quite a few sponsorship. I do have some hard time compelling the long sponsors list and arranging the prizes. It’s a good experience after all.

I contacted Rose regarding the Entrecard-credits-transfer to the winners and here is the answer:

At the end of your contest just send the EC sponsor entrecard member info and the same for the winner and we will transfer them for you tax free, any award that is 1000 ecs and above.

Oh, so how about prices below 500 ecs? For example: I have 4 blogs in an account, I sponsor 500 from each of my blogs, that is 2000 in total.

The 500 ecs should be transfered by the owner of the blog. We had to make a cut-off somewhere or we would be spending all our time transferring 25 and 50 credit ecs prizes. Your question regarding the 2,000 ec broken up into 4/500 prizes, since they get distributed to 4 winners, then you will need to transfer those.
