The thumbnail images are not working on this theme. How are they meant to be inserted?

  It’s automatically extracted from the first image in your post. But the image has to be hosted on your own site instead of others like flickr, photobucket.

Hi! is there a way to put a default thumb image? I have some posts that don’t have images so when i saw them at the first page it looks like a “no image” icon.
Please, i really want to change it. Thanks!!

I’ve uploaded the theme and imported all my posts from wordpress.com. its all looking good except when you click on the read more links it comes up with a 404 error. ive checked and its imported the entire post so i cant work out why it is not showing it?
