How often do you check your site statistic
Just a little wonder of the day. How often do you check your site statistic? Daily? Weekly? Monthly?

I check weekly, so I can get a clearer picture of what is going on this week or previous week. If you’re new to statistic, you should start learning, because this is also one essential tool that will help you to build your website.
Make it quick, what does a website do normally?

- Guide the visitor through the website
simplyWP has been around for a year and we have made a few adjustment before. From taking advantage of categories to content to page views. Recently we have cut down our articles and create more free WordPress themes, because the statistic told us that visitors are looking for WordPress themes for their blogs. So, we provide what visitors ask for.
If you are familiar with Google Analytics, you will surely know how helpful site overlay is. It lists the percentage of visitors clicking through your website. I have been monitoring the click through in simplyWP, the funny thing is, simplyWP gets more organic traffic and referral traffic than direct traffic. What does this mean? We are lacking of royalty visitor.s
Well, it doesn’t mean that we are in a bad position too. Some webmasters enjoy organic and referral a lot. Whatever the reason is, this is telling simplyWP need to start building royal visitors.

I have periods when I check it several times a day, which is way to often. 2-3 times a week would actually be a lot better and it would save me a lot of time each day.
Who doesn’t?
Well, weekly would be a best practice I think… Bigger picture, faster respond.
I wouldn’t worry so much about return visitors – it’s the nature of your site. Once someone has downloaded one of your great WordPress themes, they don’t really need another!
