Hosting over usage
SimplyWP was on maintenance mode for a few days due to the heavily consumption of CPU resources. Request were made onto the front page of SimplyWP and comment section. That explain spams are around this blog. I was wondering if I should smile or cry. Our hosting provider (Lunarpages) has been kind enough to move our hosting package into a dedicated server to make sure our sites still up and running and at the same time contacted us for necessary changes.
Lesson to learn:
1, Upgrade when it’s available. Wordpress has just upgraded to 2.7.1 (All our theme still capatible with this upgrade, no worries
), while SimplyWP still at 2.7 version, because I never rush for any upgrade, so things happen.
2, Caching plugins is a must. SimplyWP has never use those maintaining plugins. Everything was still naked, from database to PHP to rendering and showing it. So it consume a lot of CPU resources. WP-Super Cache works very well on us now
SimplyWP is now up and running. Please bear with us for the next theme release
