A few big no-no for a blog

Hi! Thanks for visiting. Here you can find blogging tips and free Wordpress themes. You may want to subscribe to RSS feed.

I’ve seen and surf a lot in Entrecard recently, looking for more spot to advertise. I don’t know about you all, but SimplyWP is quite strict on looking for the spot in Entrecard. Entrecard members started to lose their passion on Entrecard nowadays, at least it seems this way to me.

1, Sexy banner doesn’t make your traffic goes up
Content does. I’m sure a lot of bloggers who surf in Entrecard see a lot of sexy ladies banners, once you clicked in, the blogs are totally different with the banner itself. Well, this helps the blog to get some click through from Entrecard in a short run, but not on the long run.

2, Entrecard location
Previously I mentioned about putting them as high as possible on the sidebar or whatever highest place on your blog. We here, don’t look for that high, as long as it doesn’t require us to scroll a few times and LOOK for the Entrecard, it is fine. A lot of newbie did it good, that’s why recently we’re advertising on the newbie blog in Entrecard.

3, Background music
There is no need a background music. I mean, the reason you came into Entrecard because you want some publicity and some traffic, if not you wouldn’t have joined Entrecard. So keep your music or sound with you on your music player. Because this background music not only slowing the overall loading speed, it slow down the changes in Entrecard banner too.

4, Content content content
A lot of blogs I see in Entrecard using some magazine or community layout, whatever you called it. You need to keep clicking in order to see the full articles. Worse, there are tons of short articles with title on the front page. This my friend, keep it to the community. If you’re having a technology blog or any other niche content blog, let’s just use the common one. Because clicking = slowing down visitors = clicking X on the top right corner.

Back looking for some better Entrecard blogs to advertise about the next coming contest :)
